What Dry Dates (Chuhare) is

Chuhara are the dried dates people simmer in milk in cold weather. They are not fresh khajoor and they are not a tonic. The Planner extract does not list a separate volume, so the page uses the names shoppers actually say: dry dates and chuhara.

How people in Pakistan use it

Rinse and simmer them in milk, or chop them into a winter mix with almonds. They are sweet and dense. A few are a serving.

Choosing a pack

250 g is a small kitchen pack. 500 g and 1 kg are for a house that makes date milk through the winter. Almonds are the other dry-fruit bag if you are building a tray.

A plain caution

Food. Sticky and high in sugar. Not a strength medicine, and not for an infant's bottle.
